Position Summary: The General Foreman is responsible for supervising multiple Foremen and field crews across active job sites. This role ensures that all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules, company standards, and client expectations.

The General Foreman serves as a key link between field leadership and upper management, ensuring productivity, coordination, and workforce performance across assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support multiple Foremen and field crews
  • Ensure daily operations meet safety, quality, and production standards
  • Enforce strict compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material needs across job sites
  • Monitor job progress, productivity, and workforce efficiency
  • Assist in planning and execution of project schedules
  • Communicate field updates to Superintendent and Project Management
  • Resolve workforce issues and support conflict resolution in the field
  • Conduct regular job-site inspections and safety checks
  • Ensure all work meets client specifications and company expectations

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in industrial construction or maintenance field
  • Minimum 3+ years in a Foreman or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and field operations
  • Experience supervising crews in active industrial environments
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and scopes of work
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Valid driverโ€™s license (required)
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • TWIC Card
  • NCCR Certification or Equivalent or willingness to obtain
  • Basic Plus
  • Employment Authorization Document (EAD) Issued by Immigration Services.

Work Condition & Physical Requirement

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The General Foreman works primarily in field environments with occasional office coordination as needed. This position requires frequent presence on active job sites including construction sites, refineries, plants, shutdowns, maintenance projects, and other industrial facilities.

 

JOBSITE EXPOSURE: – Work conditions may include exposure to outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, loud noise, heavy equipment, elevated work areas, active construction zones, and changing industrial site conditions.

 

SCHEDULE DEMANDS: This position may require long hours, early starts, overtime, shutdown schedules, and occasional weekend work depending on project demands, operational priorities, and client requirements. Multi-site coordination and travel may also be required.

 

LEADERSHIP DEMAND: This role is physically and mentally demanding, requiring strong leadership, decision-making, crew management, problem-solving, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

 

ORIENTATION: Must be able to successfully complete all required Resilience Corp LLC and client site-specific orientation, safety training, and compliance requirements before beginning work.

 

HEAVY WORK: Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and up to 35 pounds from waist to above shoulder level on a regular basis.

 

CLIMBING: Must be capable of ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and elevated structures, including heights exceeding 100 feet, while maintaining three-point contact and following all fall protection procedures.

 

LADDERS: Using vertical ladders frequently up to 100 feet – Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift depending on project scope.

 

STAIRS & RAMPS: Using stairs or ramps occasionally up to 100 feet – Activity may exist up to 40% of the work shift depending on site conditions.

 

BALANCING: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, crouching, or working on elevated or unprotected surfaces while using required fall protection equipment. Frequently – Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.

STOOPING: Bending body downward and forward by bending at the waist, requiring full use of leg and back muscles on a repetitive basis. Frequently – Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.

 

KNEELING: Bending legs at the knee to come to rest on one or both knees. Occasionally – Activity may exist up to 40% of the work shift.

 

CROUCHING: Bending the body downward and forward by bending legs and waist. Frequently – Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.

 

REACHING: Extending hands and arms in all directions to handle materials, tools, or equipment safely. Frequently – Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.

 

GRIPPING: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, and otherwise working with hands and fingers to safely handle tools, equipment, and materials. Frequently – Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.

 

VISION: Must have adequate vision, with or without corrective lenses, to safely perform job duties, recognize hazards, read site documentation, and maintain compliance with all safety standards.

 

HEARING: Must have adequate hearing, with or without hearing assistance, to communicate effectively, recognize warning signals, and respond to instructions in active industrial environments.

 

WEATHER EXPOSURE: Must be able to work outdoors in varying atmospheric conditions, including extreme heat, cold, humidity, wind, and changing weather. Exposure may exist for extended portions of the work shift.

 

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Must be able to properly wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, hearing protection, and fall protection gear for extended periods throughout the work shift.

 

SAFETY COMPLIANCE: All work must be performed in full compliance with Resilience Corp LLC safety policies, OSHA regulations, client requirements, and all applicable site-specific procedures. Safety, reliability, physical readiness, and professional conduct are essential to successful job performance.
