Position Summary: The Multicraft Helper supports construction and maintenance work on active job sites, assisting multiple crafts including insulation, scaffolding, painting, and general labor. The main focus of this role is to help keep work safe, organized, and efficient in accordance with company and client requirements.
Under the direction of the Foreman or Leadman, the Multicraft Helper assists with material handling, jobsite preparation, tool support, basic measuring and cutting, and general cleanup. The role may also support insulation work, scaffold activities, and surface preparation for painting as needed.
This is an entry-level position focused on supporting skilled workers, maintaining a safe work environment, and helping maintain productivity and quality standards while learning multiple trades. The role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and willingness to follow instructions in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist craftsmen and foremen with daily jobsite activities across multiple trades (insulation, scaffold, painting, and general labor)
- Support installation, removal, and maintenance tasks on pipes, vessels, equipment, and structural components
- Handle, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with basic measuring, cutting, fitting, and positioning of materials under supervision
- Prepare and maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Support scaffold erection and dismantling activities as directed
- Assist with surface preparation for painting and coating work (cleaning, sanding, masking, etc.)
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies at job sites
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, incidents, or damaged equipment to supervision
- Follow instructions from Foreman or Leadman to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time
- Maintain good attendance, reliability, and teamwork on the jobsite
- Comply with all company policies, client requirements, and project specifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
- Previous construction or industrial experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Willingness to learn multiple crafts (insulation, scaffold, painting, general labor)
- Strong commitment to safety and following all PPE requirements
- Ability to work at heights, on scaffolds, and in confined spaces when required
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Ability to pass required safety training, site orientations, and drug/alcohol screening (if required by client)
- Basic Plus / Safe Gulf or site-specific safety certification
- Valid driverโs license (as required)
- Employment Authorization Document (EAD), if applicable
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in construction, industrial maintenance, or field services preferred.
- Exposure to multiple trades such as insulation, scaffolding, painting, or general labor work is a plus.
- Familiarity with refinery, petrochemical, or industrial jobsite environments preferred.
- Experience working around pipe systems, equipment, or structural steel installations is beneficial.
- Prior experience following safety procedures in high risk environments (PPE compliance, work permits, jobsite safety rules).
- Experience using basic hand tools and supporting craft workers in field operations.
- Prior work in physically demanding outdoor labor roles preferred.
- Any OSHA or safety training certifications are an advantage but not required.
- Experience working in team based construction crews under supervision is preferred.

Work Condition & Physical Requirement
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Multicraft position requires continuous presence on job sites, including construction sites, refineries, plants, shutdowns, turnarounds, maintenance projects, and industrial facilities where insulation, scaffolding, painting, and general labor activities are performed. Work is performed in dynamic and physically demanding conditions.
JOBSITE EXPOSURE: Work conditions may include exposure to outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, loud noise, heavy equipment, elevated work areas, and active industrial work zones. Exposure may also include confined spaces, hot work permit areas, and fire watch conditions when applicable.
SCHEDULE DEMANDS: This position may require long hours, early starts, overtime, shutdown schedules, and occasional weekend work depending on project demands, operational priorities, and travel may also be required.
LEADERSHIP DEMAND: This is a physically and mentally demanding role requiring strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to support multiple craft operations in a fast paced field environment. The Multicraft Helper must remain attentive, follow instructions accurately, and contribute to maintaining productivity, safety, and organization on active job sites.
ORIENTATION: Must be able to successfully complete all required Resilience Corp LLC and client site specific orientation, safety training, and compliance requirements before beginning work.
HEAVY WORK: Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and up to 35 pounds from waist to above shoulder level on a regular basis.
CLIMBING: Must be capable of ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and elevated structures, including heights exceeding 100 feet, while maintaining three-point contact and following all fall protection procedures.
LADDERS: Using vertical ladders frequently up to 100 feet Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift depending on project scope.
STAIRS & RAMPS: Using stairs or ramps occasionally up to 100 feet Activity may exist up to 40% of the work shift depending on site conditions.
BALANCING: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, crouching, or working on elevated or unprotected surfaces while using required fall protection equipment. Frequently Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.
STOOPING: Bending body downward and forward by bending at the waist, requiring full use of leg and back muscles on a repetitive basis. Frequently Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.
KNEELING: Bending legs at the knee to come to rest on one or both knees. Occasionally Activity may exist up to 40% of the work shift.
CROUCHING: Bending the body downward and forward by bending legs and waist. Frequently Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.
REACHING: Extending hands and arms in all directions to handle materials, tools, or equipment safely. Frequently Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.
GRIPPING: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, and otherwise working with hands and fingers to safely handle tools, equipment, and materials. Frequently Activity may exist up to 60% of the work shift.
VISION: Must have adequate vision, with or without corrective lenses, to safely perform job duties, recognize hazards, read site documentation, and maintain compliance with all safety standards.
HEARING: Must have adequate hearing, with or without hearing assistance, to communicate effectively, recognize warning signals, and respond to instructions in active industrial environments.
WEATHER EXPOSURE: Must be able to work outdoors in varying atmospheric conditions, including extreme heat, cold, humidity, wind, and changing weather. Exposure may exist for extended portions of the work shift.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Must be able to properly wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, hearing protection, and fall protection equipment for extended periods throughout the work shift. This includes general industrial PPE required for material handling, cleanup, and field support activities, as well as any additional site-specific protective gear required for active construction, maintenance, turnaround, and shutdown operations. PPE must be used in accordance with OSHA standards and site-specific safety requirements at all times.
